WEBFirst thing is the obviously larger budget that allows for better special effects, eg. the Quidditch scenes in CoS are much better than its predecessor. And the second, maybe even more more important thing, is the massive improvement in the young cast members' acting abilities. Rupert Grint especially is amazing.

Differences between Sorcerer’s stone and Philosopher’s stone?
WEBApr 15, 2022 · Sing_larity. No it doesn't because Philosophers stone is an actual mythical object. Sorcerer's stone is made up. I know that. I am talking about 'sounding'. If my memory serves me correctly, the sorcerer’s stone is for the American version of Harry Potter. All other films refer to it as the philosopher stone.

In German, it‘s also called Stein der Weisen. However, it‘s also the name of the ‚real world‘ legendary alchemical stone, so it‘s the correct name in the book.
