If they're system apps you can't uninstall, got to Settings > Apps > [the app (s) in question] > 3 dots in upper rigth coner > uninstall updates.

Nowhere on the product page do they indicate that this is a Verizon model and go so far as to tell you to check your your CDMA carrier to be certain it is compatible.
