That we can shoot a half hour before sunset, but not the half hour after? I can see just as much in the half hour after than the half hour before. So what is the reasoning behind this? To give the birds more rest, and if that is the case, whats 30 more min.

I generally hunt from 8-11 eat lunch and then go back out until sunset for the opener. 6-7 hours of walking is totally reasonable. After the opener, it is more sporadic with trips usually being a few hours here and there.

All in, early closing would help, but I'd rather see them close shooting at actual legal shooting time. I'll often pick up decoys and watch the ducks/geese fly after shooting time. Every single time I was out last season there were people shooting 30+ (up to 50 or so) minutes after sunset.
