There are trails. Some on beach walks, some up hills with ocean views. I don’t know trail names but the Visitors Authority should be able to help you. There was street camping along the beach at Avila Beach. I would guess they could be difficult to reserve but you should try. I’m sure the Visitors Authority or Chamber could help with contact details.
