Hi. I'm thinking of spending an afternoon here with my 2year old, husband and a few friends. We won't have a boat. Is this a good spot to just socialize? Is the beach area nice? Are there picnic areas? My husband and I live in Cincinnati, friends live in Indy. We thought this would be a good in between, but I'm having trouble finding things to do here that don't involve renting a boat. Thank you for you thoughts and opinions.

The beach area is very nice. They have hiking trails, horse riding trails. 20 minute drive past the lake toward Liberty they have ATV trails and they have camping. It is a cute little area.
