I have only been to 1 hotel in Pangkor and that is Anjungan beach resort at Nipah Bay. On this stretch of the island, Anjungan Beach Resort has the most decent appearance as a hotel. Still looks new although it has been 10 years in operation. There are a few foreigners checking in but mostly local people with family. (School holiday). The neighbouring beach at Coral bay is nice and clean. There is one small hotel but does not appeal to me. Other hotels around here is really budget type local hotel. There are bigger newer hotels at Pasir Bogak but they are closer to Pangkor town and abit busy. A few are under construction. Hope this helps

Hi "Fathin": I am not sure what you mean by "water activity"... a. if you mean "high waves"--- the answer is NO!! The nearby offshore islands provides substantial protection against "high waves"/rough seas... b. if you mean activities such as taking a boat to the nearby Island [Giam].... then the answer if "yes"!! c. If you mean activity with the nearby food/Hawker stalls... then again the answer is yes---mmoreso on the weekends. I hope that this is not confusing--- but rather "helpful"...

If you like the exercise, there are bicycle rentals in e.g. Pankor Village. Furthermore you can also rent a scooter. It all depends on what you want to do on Pulau Pangkor and how much time you have available. Most of the time we took a taxi (the pink ones) that are stationed at the jetty and close to Pangkor Sandy Beach Resort. You can also use the taxi for an island trip and you'll be able to visit many of the sites that the island has to offer. Be sure to negotiate the taxi fare and rates up front. That will keep you from surprises. In our experience the taxidrivers are more than willing to give you a roundtrip across the island. Please note that most of the taxis are not equiped with airco. Instead they do facilitate fans in the ceiling. Just hang in there and stay cool.
Q:
Can I request to set up a bonfire in the evening for a party?

Never tried to do this but there were traces left that suggests some did this. Suggest to check more with the locals

well..there will be life jackets for kids.. there is a large sandy area for ur kids to play and with bread fishes will come.. so not an issue.. but do keep in mind there is no place to wash up.. and you need to be by your kids as there are huge rocks and they are slippery and easy to get hurt..
