Oxbow Bend is well worth driving out of your way to see! Photo ops like nowhere else in GTNP. It was our favorite spot throughout our 5day trip to GTNp and Jackson, WY. A must-do when in the area.Full review by VacationsRWanderful

I am considering putting a standup paddleboard on the water at Cattleman's Bridge. Is the water calm enough to explore the oxbow bend area and take out at the same location or will the current take me downstream?

There were people rafting, but the were having to paddle. The water was calm while we were there.
For the view of the mountains reflecting in the lake, do we need to cross the river from the Oxbow bend? Is there a way to cross the river?

I am not aware of a crossing available. You can take great photos from the edge of Thia water which is juay off the road. There would be no need to go to the other side
