If coming the first Sunday in October how many animals would still be around to see? Would I be better off coming in summer?

I am not really sure about this. They might not have all the tame animals out at that time, but you can call them and check. I have only been there in the summer.

No. You’d have to purchase passes to get in to the zoo itself and additional passes for the Tram. Adults are $18.99, children up to 13 are $13.99, infants I believe are free. Tram passes are $4 person, it’s approximately a 25 minute ride.
Q:
what kind of change do we need to bring for the animal feeding machines?
A:
Feeding machines are 50 cents (2 quarters). They also sell bags of food for $5.
