This was a highlight in my visit to Pittsburgh. It’s a moderate 15-20 minute walk from downtown, and requires about 90+ minutes to really experience.Full review by N P

Two hours will give you time to enjoy all of it, unless you get stuck in line to see butterflies as we did. Perhaps by now the line will be shorter. I would totally expect crowds on Mother's Day, but then it's such a perfect destination on that day. No good parking close by. Our son dropped us off and parked on the street behind park across from Phipps, and walked through the park. Better to plan for this ahead of time. Enjoy!
