The Wuyuan Skywells is a Qing dynasty merchants house hidden in the rolling hills of the Wuyuan countryside. Hidden in the protected ancient village of yancun, the house avoided the madness of revolution, bulldozers and concrete which have typified the past 100 years - instead boasting fine woodcarving, stonecraft and 3 'skywells' (courtyards typical to these homes).
