The Space The Silver Fox Yurt will be the hub for your recreation travel agenda - be it summer or winter! The yurt sits on 40 acres of private forest, immediately adjacent to IDL/state lands and USFS federal lands that are the jumping off point to central-Idaho's backcountry. Recently, we've kept an eye towards long-term health of the property and reduced risk of fire by removing most of the stressed white fir and thinning other areas of crowded timber. WINTER ACCESS: In the winter, it's a 45min to 1 hr minute walk on snowshoes or skis - there is no passenger vehicle access. SKIING: If you're skiing, you'll have the option of a short walk to north slopes draining into Jug Creek or a bit more of a jaunt up to the ridge of Jughandle Mountain for mild-to-moderate west-facing terrain. Other expert-only backcountry ski terrain faces north and east off the same ridge.
