Texas Governor Abbott signed 1,155 bills into law and vetoed 28, and announced a Special Session for further legislative matters.

AUSTIN, Texas (KAUZ) - After an action-packed 89th Legislative Session that concluded with Governor Greg Abbott signing 1,155 bills passed by the Texas Legislature, the Lone Star governor is now ordering a special session to address a handful of issues he still wants to see change on.

The special session will begin on July 21 for lawmakers to tackle bills that were vetoed during the 89th Legislative Session, including Senate Bill 3.
