The Bristol County District Attorney's Office said that a "miscommunication" led them to previously report that Brenda Cropper, 66, had died, when in fact she is still alive and in critical condition.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said a 10th victim from the fire at an assisted living facility in Fall River has died. Investigators said that 66-year-old Brenda Cropper was pronounced deceased late Friday afternoon.

Brenda Cropper’s family describes her as a “tiny little thing” with a big smile who made friends easily. Cropper stood about about 4 feet, 11 inches tall, and her daughter Crystal Macura said her mother loved nothing more than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching old TV shows, and cans of soda.
