Right now, the National Hurricane Center has an 80% chance of tropical development over the next seven days and a 40% chance over the next two days. Right now, showers and thunderstorms in the Caribbean become better organized on Thursday and Friday showing signs of our next tropical depression or potentially Tropical Storm Sara.

The potential storm follows swiftly on from Hurricane Rafael, which hit Cuba last week. Making landfall as a Category 2 hurricane with prior wind speeds peaking at 115 miles per hour, it knocked out the country's entire power grid. It was the strongest November tropical cyclone in the Gulf of Mexico on record, matched only by 1985's Hurricane Kate.

The NHC said Tuesday it is tracking a tropical wave in the Caribbean Sea that could become a tropical depression by the end of the week.
