The fire that gutted a large part of a downtown dance club is believed to be arson, according to a Dallas Fire and Rescue official. But the official also said there’s no information about any potential suspects as of Tuesday afternoon.

DALLAS — A popular late-night house music club just west of Deep Ellum is no longer able to open after an alleged arson fire burned through the business early Friday. According to Dallas Fire-Rescue, crews responded to Jack's House, located at 2204 Elm St. in Downtown Dallas around 4:09 a.m. to the report of a fire.

One of the owners of Jack's House said he witnessed what happened and even tried to stop the person responsible.
