Utah Governor Spencer Cox announced the arrest in a joint press conference with law enforcement on Sept. 12. “Ladies and gentlemen, we got him,” Cox said. The suspected shooter was identified as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah man. The governor confirmed he was not a student at Utah Valley University.
