Nick Bjugstad scored his second goal of the game to cap the Utah Hockey Club's three-goal flurry in a 2 1/2-minute span of the third period in a 4-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.

“Veggie! Veggie!” chanted the crowd at the Delta Center at various points throughout the third period. That’s in reference to goaltender Karel Vejmelka — “Veggie” for short — who posted a career-high 49 saves and helped his team kill 11 minutes’ worth of penalties in the final frame.
