Lucas is staying in the ACC and, at 36, will be the youngest high-major coach when he takes over Miami following this weekend

NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade and Future Hall of Famer and Current Los Angeles Laker LeBron James congratulate the newest Miami Hurricanes head coach Jai Lucas on his journey along with other people he has influenced along the way.

Lucas takes over a Miami program that lost longtime head coach Jim Larrañaga, who retired in December midway through the season. Former assistant Bill Courtney has worked as Miami's interim head coach since Larrañaga stepped down. Miami is in the midst of a 6-24 campaign, with a 2-17 record in ACC play that's good for last place in the conference.
