NEW YORK — Jason Robertson’s third career hat trick lifted the Dallas Stars past the New York Islanders 4-3 on Sunday night for their third straight victory. With Robertson’s second-period hat trick he became the first player to score three goals in a period since Jamie Benn on Apr. 7, 2018.

Jason Robertson completed a hat trick within nine minutes of the second period Sunday night for the surging Dallas Stars, who knocked off the New York Islanders 4-3 in Elmont, N.Y.

The Stars have found a lot of different ways to win over the past two months. Sunday was a totally new one.
