The Rockets need to get under the first apron and don’t have roster room for a fourth veteran center, so Jock Landale is being waived.

The Houston Rockets are waiving center Jock Landale ahead of his July 7 guarantee date, sources tell ESPN. Landale is expected to sign with his preferred destination upon clearing waivers. With the addition of Clint Capella on the roster Houston now has three center on the roster.

On Thursday, the Houston Rockets waived Landale as part of roster reconstruction following a flurry of free agent signings and the trade of Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks for Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns .
