The PGA Tour made official what Golfweek reported earlier this week — that the 2025 Genesis Invitational will head down I-405 from its usual home at Riviera Country Club in Paci

Because of the tragic wildfires affecting Los Angeles, the PGA Tour has moved the Genesis Invitational to San Diego.

The PGA Tour announced on Friday that the Genesis Invitational will be moved from the Riviera Country Club to Torrey Pines on Feb. 13-16.

It’s official: The PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational will move to Torrey Pines Golf Course. The tournament at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, hosted by golf icon Tiger Woods, was displaced because of the devastating fires in Pacific Palisades.

There are at least 60 people from the City of San Diego’s staff who work on staging the PGA Tour’s Farmers Insurance Open at the municipal Torrey Pines golf courses. They toil long hours for months in advance and then all but collapse onto their couches when the final putt drops.

The Genesis Invitational golf tournament, which earlier announced it would move away from Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades due to the Los Angeles-area wildfires, will be held next month on the South Course of Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego,

Several PGA Tour stars fell victim to the high winds at Torrey Pines and missed the cut at the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open.
