A post-prom party for Michigan City High School students turned deadly when gunfire erupted at a rented home in northwest Indiana, killing 17-year-old Javon Townsend and injuring two other teens.

Police say an adult and multiple teens were injured at a Brownsville pre-prom event at a park over the weekend, as the community continues to mourn the girl who was fatally shot.
