Alton man identified as victim in fatal pit bull attack
ALTON — The victim of the pit bull attack on Friday has been identified as Robert W. Echols, 53, of Alton. Madison County Coroner Nicholas Novacich made the identification on Monday, Jan. 13.

Police said the girl was shot while standing on a porch Saturday afternoon. She remained in critical condition as of Monday.
