A bill to fund repairs at Chase Field, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, continues to move forward in the state legislature, despite strong objections from Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego.

The bill redirects $500 million to repair the nearly 30-year-old Chase Field. The House approved the measure in February before it hit roadblocks in the Senate .

The Chase Field bill finally went to bat this week after numerous talks between the governor, lawmakers, the Arizona Diamondbacks, Maricopa County, and the city of Phoenix.
