Blue Sky, the cherished cat of The Second Reading bookstore, has passed away, leaving behind fond memories and a legacy of companionship.

Cats that grew up on the street and were never socialized have been “put to work” by the Humane Rescue Alliance’s Blue Collar Cats program.

What initially started out as a pure rehoming program has now accidentally become a rat control initiative as the presence of the outdoor felines scares away local rodents.

"He might be blue because people who train dogs for dog fights might have taken him to use for bait and they stain them blue," one viewer fearfully wrote.
