CHRONOLOGY OF THE BOOK. The chronology of Judges presents many problems. According to 1 Kings 6:1, the interval between the Exodus (Exod. 12:41) and the fourth year of Solomon’s reign was 480 years.

This Bible book is, in some sense, a vindication of the George W. Bush worldview. Activist “judges” are the problem. They’ve left the Promised Land a mess.
