SMFR is responding to an ice rescue at Johnson Reservoir in unincorporated Jefferson County. Engine 13 is on scene reporting an animal is laying on a frozen lake approximately 200 yards from shore.

Rescue crews were called to an ice rescue at Lake Redman in York County on Tuesday. The rescue was reported at the lake in Springfield Township around noon. The scene borders Interstate 83.

The rescue team was able to pull both victims from the ice before transporting them with an ice-rescue sled. The victims, a man and a woman, were conscious and alert when first responders arrived.
