CHICAGO - Chicago-area residents can expect a warm and humid weekend with only scattered chances for rain.
CHICAGO - Today is warm with scattered rain and storms. There is a chance for strong to severe storms with a slight risk in western and southwestern counties and marginal risk in Chicago points north and in NW Indiana. The chance for severe storms ramps up mid-afternoon through tonight. Highs today will be around 80.
The storm Prediction Center placed many of Chicago's southwestern counties under a "slight" risk of severe weather, which ranks as level two of five. The rest of the Chicago area was under a "marginal" risk, which ranks as level one.
