Coke Florida has opened an 800,000-square-foot distribution center and fleet facility – a $300 million investment – in Tampa.

A 39-year-old Independence man died June 4 in a workplace incident involving a forklift at the WinCo Foods distribution center in Woodburn.

Kohl’s is closing its Monroe distribution center later this year and more than 750 people will lose their jobs, the company said.
