Mississippi’s longest-serving death row inmate is set to be executed Wednesday nearly five decades after he kidnapped and killed a bank loan officer’s wife in a violent ransom scheme.

SUNFLOWER CO., Miss. (WLBT) - After nearly five decades on death row, Richard Gerald Jordan is set to be executed by the state on Wednesday. Jordan is the longest-serving death row inmate in the state of Mississippi.
