In 2023, the group came out of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy with a plan to establish a $2.4 billion fund to support more than 80,000 men who suffered sexual abuse in Boy Scout-related activities.

It turns out, nobody knew about the scout's criminal background. On Wednesday, May 15th, 18-year-old Matthew Pentek, a student at Sheboygan North High School, accepted a $1,000 scholarship.
