NEW SMYRNA BEACH - For the first time in three years, Friday night, The Florida Council of Yacht Clubs hosted its council meeting at the Smyrna Yacht Club during SYC's 85th anniversary year.

Founded in 1926, the Sarasota Yacht Club is one of the original 13 members of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs. Club members opened a sparkling new waterfront facility in March, 2010.
