A few days ago, during a rather foggy morning, I took a walk on Long Sands Beach and overheard a couple questioning each other about what they could possibly do on a foggy, damp day at the beach.

No one seems to be neutral about a foggy beach. People either love or hate seeing the ocean blanketed in gray, and each side of the argument tends to think the other side is crazy.

There are a couple of other important things to keep in mind when you visit. The weather can be changeable, chilly, and foggy. Wear layers to help make your beach outing as enjoyable as possible.
