Longtime baseball writer Scott Miller died on Saturday at 62 years old, USA Today’s Bob Nightengale first shared on social media.

Miller, an acclaimed and respected baseball writer for more than three decades, died Friday night at his Carlsbad home after battling pancreatic cancer for more than a year and a half. He was 62.

Scott Miller, an alum of Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central and Hillsdale College, spent more than three decades covering MLB and wrote two books.
