Paint maker BASF says car colors are shifting towards various shades of gray, especially in America, with beige and other warm neutral colors also gaining.

Its winter fur is long and bushy, and predominantly a mottled gray in color, although nearly pure white, red, or brown to black also occur.

Seasonal color variation is a function of fading and molting. Additional individual color variation results in brown, black, silvery-gray color phases. Albinos are more frequent than in many rodents.
