Kids in Parks is an organization turning existing trails into interactive TRACK trails for kids and families. Twelve new TRACK trails opened in Oregon this week.

The Happy Valley skate park is beginner-friendly; no half pipes or bowls, just a few grind rails, quarter pipes and a small set of stairs. That's how Austin Sutley, 11, of Happy Valley likes it.

The Enchanted Valley Chalet was built in the wilderness of what later became Olympic National Park more than 85 years ago. The park is considering plans to either save or dismantle the structure.
