At around 9.30pm on Sept 2, police arrested a 29-year-old man in front of a restaurant in Jalan Rampai Niaga 5 in Wangsa Maju. The suspect was identified as the victim's brother-in-law.

Section 2 of Wangsa Maju consists of 113 residential blocks with 3,400 units, housing a population of approximately 15,000. Lim said 12 blocks of residential units in Block E were at risk.
