Around 9:30 p.m., more than 100 young people walked down at least three blocks in Hyde Park, yelling as they smashed windshields, broke mirrors, lit off fireworks and jumped on cars.

The shelter has 764 beds with 366 currently occupied. A city spokesperson said the shelter will close within six months.
