German automaker Mercedes-AMG has finally introduced its latest model, the 2025 GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe. For the new model year, the car has received a minor design revamp and the latest MBUX software inside.

With the team at Mercedes-AMG putting the V12-powered S65 out to pasture, the highest-performance S-Class has become the 4.0-liter-powered S 63. This latest iteration in the long line of hopped-up S-Class machines blends that 4.

The folks over at Mercedes-AMG call the GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door a coupe, but our eyes see four doors. We're willing to overlook that discrepancy, though, because the wait for Affalterbach's most powerful family-friendly version of the AMG GT sports car is finally over

The plug-in hybrid powertrain debuts in the GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe, a flagship model set to arrive in the U.S. for the 2025 model year. First revealed in 2021, it has been available in other markets since then, though Mercedes had not previously offered it in the U.S. for unclear reasons.

Nearly 18 months after its European refresh, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance has finally landed stateside. Pricing details are still under wraps, but it will take its place at the top of the lineup alongside the GT 43 4-Door Coupe and GT 53 4-Door Coupe, which start at $101,100 and $112,000, respectively.

After being delayed, the high-powered plug-in-hybrid sports sedan goes on sale in the U.S. packing an 831-hp powertrain pairing a V-8 and an electric motor.
