The $350,000 awarded to Michael Jacobs is related to a protest over a homeless encampment. Jacobs’ attorney said two Denver Police officers detained Jacobs for allegedly jostling a fence.

But earlier this year, Jacobs’ attorney, Michael Pizzi, disputed all of that, saying Jacobs had called a non-emergency line, not 911, to express concern for his safety.
