Founded by the zealous campaigning of Western Australian women in 1916, for over 99 years King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women been a beloved Perth institution.

The 39-year-old woman is in a serious but stable condition in Royal Perth Hospital. Police and ambulance officers were called to the block of units in Malcolm Street, West Perth about 3:30 pm today.
