Police have arrested a man who hijacked a TriMet bus and holed up inside, leading to an hours-long standoff near Downtown Portland.
Police identify man who fired shots, took over TriMet bus in Portland’s Old Town
Officers had arrived on the scene in response to reports of a man pointing a gun at people in Old Town. The suspect reportedly fired shots and then flagged down the TriMet bus and boarded it, causing riders to flee out the rear door. This led to a standoff between police and the suspect on the bus.
