Crowley ISD officials said that classes will resume Tuesday at Hargrave Elementary. STAAR testing for the school’s third- through fifth-grade students will be postponed until Wednesday, April 16.

Two people were shot early Monday near J.A. Hargrave Elementary in Tarrant County, and a gun was found in a field on the Crowley school district campus, authorities said.

Students at J.A. Hargrave Elementary will return to school on Tuesday after the campus was temporarily closed due to a nearby police investigation.

Crowley school district officials asked students and staff at J.A. Hargrave Elementary School to stay home Monday because of the active investigation.
