The Nissan’s driver, Aaron Rodriguez Hernandez, 21, was hospitalized with moderate injuries and later released. He was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, DUI involving drugs that caused injury, driving without a license and violating his probation. He was on probation for a 2023 misdemeanor battery conviction involving an ex-partner.

A 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of drugs after speeding on Santa Rosa streets, striking another car and killing the driver, police said.
