Amazon is suing a Washington state agency to prevent the release of some company materials to The Washington Post, the newspaper which is owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. In a lawsuit filed this week in King County Superior Court,

Amazon is suing Washington state to limit the release of public records to The Washington Post from a series of state Department of Labor and Industries investigations of an Amazon Project Kuiper satellite facility in the Seattle area.

The company that Jeff Bezos founded has gone to court to keep the newspaper he owns from finding out too much about the inner workings of its business, reports Todd Bishop of Geekwire. Bishop reports,

Jeff Bezos’ corporate crown jewel Amazon filed a lawsuit in Washington state to prevent a newspaper from gaining access to its internal records. The newspaper in question? Bezos’ own Washington Post.

The lawsuit seeks to prevent the imminent release of records to the outlet. Amazon maintains that some of the information shouldn't be handed over because it contains trade secrets.
