A judge has thrown out Jay-Z’s extortion and defamation lawsuit against Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee, who filed r*pe allegations against the rapper. Buzbee’s client alleged that Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs raped her when she was just 13 years old at an after-party following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has filed an appeal to the California judge's ruling. Carter filed the lawsuit in November, just a few weeks before Buzbee filed a federal lawsuit in New York accusing Carter and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping a 13-year-old in 2000.

On Tuesday (June 1), it was reported that Los Angeles County Judge Mark Epstein dismissed Hov's defamation and extortion lawsuit against Buzbee, although he stated that he was not "wholly satisfied" with the decision. Since the dismissal, an appeal has been filed by Robert M. Schwartz, an attorney for Jay-Z.
