Rescuers searching through the rubble of apartment buildings in the central city of Dnipro where 16 people were killed recovered the bodies of an eight-year-old boy and three women, regional head Oleksandr Hanzha said, adding that another child had been killed in the blast.
Russia is continuing its attacks on Ukraine, with 73 missiles and 656 drones launched overnight. Authorities said at least 11 people were killed.
“If Ukraine is not protected from ballistic and other missile strikes, these attacks will continue,” argued the Ukrainian President.
Russia pummeled Ukraine anew with hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles early on Tuesday, killing at least 13 people, after having threatened a large-scale attack and warning foreigners to leave Kyiv.
Ukraine's air force said Russia launched 656 drones and 73 missiles overnight into June 2, 2026.
