“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton will direct “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, who play Peter Parker’s besties MJ and Ned, are expected to return. “Stranger Things” star Sadie Sink will also appear in the film.

Jon Berntahl will be making his Marvel Cinematic Universe film debut as Frank Castle AKA The Punisher in "Spider-Man: Brand New Day."

Bernthal plays vigilante Frank Castle aka The Punisher, initially in the Marvel/Netflix series, and then recently in Disney’s Daredevil: Born Again. He’ll be starring in season 2 and he’s getting his own Disney+ special, which Bernthal is co-writing.
