Earlier this year, offscreen drama surrounding House of the Dragon season two threatened to eclipse what had happened in Westeros, as A Song of Ice and Fire creator George R.R. Martin—who’d notably kept quite during Game of Thrones ‘ controversial final season in 2019— took to his blog to air out his frustrations with the prequel series.

After Martin published and deleted a blog post critical of the show, Casey Bloys offered reassurance that the creative partnership will be okay.

When it comes to HBO’s House of the Dragon, George R.R. Martin is not afraid to share his thoughts on it. Earlier this fall, in fact, he really aired his HOTD grievances in a blog post that is now deleted.

HBO is indeed working on a Game of Thrones movie idea, but keep in mind that there's a big difference between "we have something in early development" and "this is definitely happening."

Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin hasn't been afraid to share his opinons on how House of the Dragon has been going, at one point taking to his blog to voice his disappointment on how it has adapted what he considers to be a crucial part of the plot.
