People in four states across the U.S. Southwest and California were warned of dangerous fire weather conditions on Monday, with dozens of counties under red flag warnings. The National Weather Service (NWS) cautions that a red flag warning indicates critical fire weather conditions are either underway or likely to develop shortly.

On Monday at 12:21 p.m. a red flag warning was released by the NWS Sacramento CA in effect until 8 p.m. The warning is for Northern Sacramento Valley to Southern Tehama County Line Below 1000 Ft, Central Sacramento Valley including Glenn/Colusa/Yuba/Northern Sutter/Butte County Below 1000 Ft,

This Red Flag Warning spans as far north as Redding to as south as Modesto. In San Joaquin County, the highest threat of fire is being seen in the northern part of the region.
